Brian Wrye


As a SAG-Aftra member, Brian was just cast in his 16th film, a SAG short entitled “This is Andromeda,” to be shot in upstate New York at the end of the summer, 2015.  He has worked in 15 other films, 14 commercials for television, and has appeared on soap operas.  Brian has written several screenplays and treatments, and recently shot a sizzle reel for a travel/food show he created, co-wrote, co-produced and for which he is the on camera talent.

Brian also performed in eight theatrical productions, most recently playing Tom Duffy in “Farragot North” in Beacon, NY.  He has trained with Adrienne Stern’s screen acting workshop in NYC; School of Theatre at LSU; Scene Study at The Director’s Workshop in NYC; The Playwrights Workshop in NYC; and took a theatrical workshop followed by a One-Day Short Play Marathon with Shauna Kanter at the VOICETheatre in NYC, now located in Woodstock, NY.

Brian also has extensive experience in both business and political/governmental work.  Most notably he worked for Mayor Rudolph Giuliani as a Director at the Human Resources Administration (HRA).  At HRA, Brian handled multiple projects, including the launch of the agency’s first webpage, oversight of its multi-service centers, and he brought the agency into compliance with the national motor-voter law.  Locally, he is active in his community in Fishkill, NY, helping in multiple areas of interest.  He served on The Town of Fishkill’s Environmental Board, the Dutchess County Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, the Southern Dutchess Exchange Club, and he is a past member of the Dutchess County Environmental Management Commission. In business, Brian has held positions with such companies as Wells Fargo Financial, Hudson Valley Technology Development Center, and Staples Advantage, where he designed and led successful sales campaigns that generated several million dollars in new business. In his home state of Louisiana, Brian worked for Governor Treen and organized the first state-wide promotion of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
